Bespoke Singing teacher training & mentorship

Many professional singers naturally find themselves stepping into the role of singing teacher — but often without ever being given the tools to fully understand how the voice works, or how to teach different voices,  safely and effectively.

This foundation programme is designed to give developing teachers and performers a deeper understanding of the vocal instrument, moving beyond simply teaching someone to “sing like you”. 

Together we will explore the foundations of  

• healthy vocal technique
• Vocal registers,
• Breath
• Understanding Support,
• Positive posture
• The body & vocal alignment
• Power of resonance
• Healthy vocal function
• exercises & techniques to help strengthen and understand the whole vocal system.

The programme consists of six 90-minute one-to-one sessions, completely online.

Each session blends theoretical and practical training, allowing students to build a strong understanding of vocal science, while developing practical tools that can be immediately applied in the studio

The course is entirely person-centred, allowing the content to adapt to each student’s individual experience, interests, and professional goals.

A Ten-Session Advanced Teacher Training & Mentorship Course

Designed as the next step beyond The Foundations of Singing, this advanced one-to-one mentorship programme offers a deeper and more comprehensive exploration of vocal pedagogy, technique, vocal health, and practical teaching skills.

While building on the foundational principles of healthy singing technique, breath, alignment, support, registers, and vocal function. 

This programme also allows students to begin exploring stylistic and specialist areas of teaching, including classical voice, contemporary commercial styles, and belt technique.

The course combines both theoretical and practical learning, helping students develop a stronger understanding of the voice alongside practical tools that can be immediately applied within their own teaching practice.

Additional areas of study may include:

• Vocal health awareness 
• Working with different age groups and abilities 
• Exercise building and troubleshooting 
• Lesson structure and planning 
• The psychology of teaching 
• Developing stamina and sustainable technique 
• Style-specific approaches to singing 
• Building confidence as a teacher and mentor 
• 
  

Students will also have the opportunity to observe and mentor a singer within 2 sessions, receiving live feedback and guidance throughout the process.

The programme consists of ten 90-minute one-to-one sessions and is intentionally tailored to the individual needs, experience, and goals of each student.

Due to the mentorship nature of the course, Sharon is also available for additional guidance and support between sessions where needed.
