Your Chance to Perform with West End Stars This Christmas!

HOME FOR CHRISTMAS — YOUNG GUEST PERFORMER OPPORTUNITY

Calling all young singers in County Kildare!

This Christmas, West End performers Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler are returning to the Moat Theatre in Naas for their special homecoming concert, Home for Christmas, on Saturday 19 December 2026.

And they're looking for one talented young singer aged 10–17 to join them on stage!

Following a. sold-out concert earlier this year, Sharon returns with Rob, for a magical evening of Christmas favourites, musical theatre classics and spectacular live vocals, accompanied by a local women's choir.

As part of this very special concert, one young performer will be invited to take to the stage and perform a song.

A Little About the Opportunity

Originally from Naas, Sharon attended St Mary's College and trained locally before going on to enjoy an international career in musical theatre.

Now she's hoping to give another young performer the opportunity to experience the excitement of performing alongside professional West End artists.

"I remember being young and dreaming of performing on the West End stage. I was so fortunate to have wonderful opportunities growing up in Naas, and I'd love to give another young singer that same encouragement.

We're not necessarily looking for the most polished performer. We're looking for somebody with a love of singing, a little spark and the confidence to give it a go. This is all about celebrating and encouraging homegrown talent!"

— Sharon Sexton

Who Can Enter?

We're inviting applications from young singers who:

  • Are aged 10–17 inclusive on 19 December 2026.
  • Live or attend school in County Kildare.
  • Have a genuine love of singing and performing.
  • Are available to attend the concert, rehearsal and soundcheck at the Moat Theatre, Naas, on Saturday 19 December.
  • Have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate.

You do not need to attend a performing arts school, have professional experience or receive private singing lessons.

Entry is completely free!

How to Enter

Entering is simple!

Step 1 — Choose your song

Choose a song that you enjoy singing and that shows us your voice and personality. It can be from musical theatre, pop, contemporary music or another style you love.

Step 2 — Record your audition

Record a video of yourself performing your chosen song  (or a cut version of it) Your video should be no longer than three minutes in total, including your introduction.

At the beginning of the recording, please tell us:

  • Your first name
  • Your age
  • One interesting thing about yourself!

Then sing your chosen song.

You may sing with a backing track, piano accompaniment or unaccompanied.

There's no need for professional filming or recording equipment. A simple phone recording is absolutely fine. We just need to be able to see and hear you clearly.

Step 3 — Share your recording

Upload your video to YouTube as an Unlisted video and copy the link and paste it into the correct section, clearly marked  on your application form.

Step 4 — Complete the application form

Ask your parent or legal guardian to complete the online application form, including their contact details, consent and your video link.

Closing date: Friday 20th November 2026, at 11:59pm Irish time.

What Happens Next?

All eligible submissions will be reviewed by Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler.

One young singer will be selected to perform a solo song as part of Home for Christmas at the Moat Theatre, Naas, on Saturday 19th December 2026.

The selected performer and their parent or guardian will be contacted by Friday 27th November 2026.

Please note that the song performed at the concert may be different from the song submitted for the audition. The final repertoire will be agreed with Sharon and Rob to suit the programme and the selected performer's voice.

The successful performer will be required to attend a rehearsal and soundcheck on the day of the concert, with further details confirmed directly with their parent or guardian.

Ready to Give It a Go?

Whether you've been singing for years or are just beginning to find your voice, we'd love to hear from you!

You never know where your voice might take you.
