LOUTH YOUNG VOICES

At Louth Young Voices, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their voice, build confidence and experience the joy of singing in a fun, supportive and encouraging environment.

Founded in 2026 by vocal coach and performer Sharon Sexton, Louth Young Voices was created to fill a gap in the local community—a place where young people can come together to sing, make friends, express themselves creatively and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Sharon has been a resident of Louth for many years and has built a strong reputation for inspiring young performers through her highly successful Musical Theatre Summer Camp at Meridian Leisure Centre. Over the past six years, she has directed and produced in-house productions including Mamma Mia!, Wicked, Frozen, Matilda, Hairspray and High School Musical, helping hundreds of children grow in confidence both on and off the stage.

Alongside the summer camp, Sharon has developed one-to-one singing students, many of whom have gone on to achieve outstanding results in performances, LAMDA examinations and auditions. 

Through her teaching, she recognised the need for something more—a welcoming community where young singers could learn together, encourage one another and enjoy the experience of making music as part of a group.

Louth Young Voices mission is to nurture confident young singers through expert vocal training, healthy technique, musicianship and exciting performance opportunities—all within a safe, inclusive and positive environmen t.There will also be the opportunity to enter for performance examinations with LAMDA.

Each weekly session lasts 90 minutes and is carefully designed to be engaging & creative. Unlike traditional choir rehearsals, every class combines professional vocal training with fun, interactive activities that develop both musical and personal confidence.

Sessions include:

• Vocal warm-ups and healthy singing technique
• Breath control, posture and vocal development
• Harmony work and ensemble singing
• Ear training and musicianship
• Rhythm and musical games
• Performance skills and stage confidence
• Movement and expression
• Learning exciting repertoire from musical theatre, pop and contemporary music
• Team-building activities that encourage confidence, communication and creativity

Throughout the year, members will have opportunities to perform at local festivals, community events, charity fundraisers where possible and our annual presentation concert.

Louth Young Voices is open to children aged 7 years and above, regardless of previous experience or ability.

Whether your child is taking their very first singing class or already has performance experience, they will be encouraged, challenged and supported at their own pace.

Classes are booked in 10-week terms.

£7.50 per session
